To Preserve Limited Government
We Need A Long Term Strategy!
WHY THE LEFT IS WINNING AND WHAT WE CAN DO ABOUT IT
1. Federal power and debt have expanded dramatically in the last 50 years.
2. The left has won 4 presidential/congressional supermajorities in the last century. They also won regular majorities in most decades of that century. Republicans have never had 60 Senate votes to end a filibuster.
3. Big change is coming. The left is waiting for their next majority to:
1. Abolish the Senate Filibuster
2. Admit 1-2 new states to increase their Senate majority.
3. Use their Senate majority to pack the Supreme Court
4. Use Supreme Court majority to rig redistricting rules.
5.. Use new redistricting rules to win control of big states.
6. With control of big states, end-run the electoral college.
7. Use big state votes to dominate Presidential elections.
8. Empower un-elected bureaucrats to rule & intimidate by regulatory edict
9. Impose and uphold in Court a wealth tax to subsidize the left’s friends.
4. Winning the next election only delays the left but won’t prevent their victory. They are almost certain to win another trifecta majority sooner or later.
5 .We must consider permanent Constitutional checks on abuse of federal power:
*A balanced budget or fiscal discipline amendment
* Impose limits on the authority of federal regulators.
* Prohibit Congress from manipulating the size of the Supreme Court.
6. Just as pressure from the states and voters forced Congress to propose the Bill of Rights and presidential term limits, similar pressure could force Congress to propose specific popular safeguards without the controversy of a Convention.
7. State and national legislators and leaders must learn to work together to win!
